From Trauma to Triumph: The Journey of Resiliency in the Community of Persons with a Disability
One of the wonderful things about EMDR is that it's not prejudiced as it knows we all have the same brain and its flexibility makes it truly an accessible psychotherapy for all. Via discussion, lecture and client videos, this workshop will compare the similarities in how we define trauma and disability, review the Adaptive Information Processing Model (AIP) as it relates to persons who have a disability and explore the many ways we can bring phases 3-8 of EMDR to persons in the community of those with a disability. We will round out our time with a client message video and thought share.
