Online Integrating Neuroscientific Interventions and Complex Therapy

Trauma lives in the hind (brainstem) and the mid (Limbic) brain. In order to heal from trauma we have to understand how trauma works and have ways to access these parts of the brain. Sensory based interventions and therapies such as EMDR and PC provide this access and healing. This workshop will examine how we digest experiences, how parts of an experience get stuck and trauma s & s that can occur as a result. We will learn and practice many sensory based interventions that participants can take back to their clients. Interventions increase a client’s ability to practice effective mindfulness, increase sensory based integration and promote Polyvagal stabilization such as breathing techniques, guided visualizations and movement exercises.
